ENGIE successfully purchased first volumes at Malkoçlar (Bulgaria-Turkey border exchange point) for the Turkish market. This deal allows ENGIE to import gas to Turkey via Bulgaria for the very first time.
ENGIE – International Supply & Energy Management Turkey (as ETP legal entity) joined this tender with the access of ENGIE.
ENGIE transfers the gas in Bulgarian – Turkish Border (Malkoclar) while Global Energy Management Turkey ) is one of the first spot pipeline gas importers in Turkey. ENGIE was the only buyer in the auction.
This deal opens up a new delivery point in the relationship with Gazprom and hopefully future opportunities for cooperation.
